"Sinks and Mazes To You Too"

Ah Fred Sanford, the one man on TV who was not afraid to make fun of his Puerto Rican neighbor Julio Fuentes and his family on Sanford and Son. However, while we don't encourage discrimination, we do encourage the spirit of Cinco de Mayo as well as what coincidentally became the day of our anniversary here at BNG. Three years ago, I had no idea that I would continue to be doing this to some degree. I am very pleased that we are still here for your amusement. Though not in the same glory as we used to be, we plan to get back to that standard very soon. I did not anticipate the reception I would get, with a little help as a writer for friends of the blog HJC and HCI. In commemoration of our three years in Cyberspace and beyond, we have our "Triple Threat" anniversary logo and are pleased to announce that we will be under the motto "The final frontier in sports design."

We also would like to take the time to acknowledge something that you may have noticed on our Twitter feed. Lauren Jensen, one of my colleagues at Medaille College, was diagnosed with thyroid cancer almost a month ago. Thyroid issues are somewhat common in the Western New York area. We would like to continue helping raise awareness by providing you the opportunity to spread the word. Below is a transparent and reversed image of the shirtfronts of Medaille's #JensenStrong t-shirts. We encourage you to join us by printing out the image onto transfer paper and iron it on a shirt.

This young woman has been stellar in the classroom and in the sports world. She has a tenacious work ethic between education, basketball, soccer, and everything else that she does. There is no doubt she can and will win the fight, but the increased support is always appreciated. The intestinal fortitude it takes to take on such a challenge is unmatched to our regular daily activities and deserves accolades that are beyond our very comprehension. Together, we can accomplish great things - we are #JensenStrong! Thank you for supporting BNG and our sincere causes.

Duly noted, with the amount of changes in recent months resulting from the new year and our third anniversary, more will be coming. I cannot disclose further information as it is currently in development. Outside of everything else we have mentioned, take the time (if you have any contact with them) to call an old teacher of yours and thank them for being an influence in your life in commemoration of Teacher Appreciation Day. Okay, so today's post was really just a big series of service announcements. But well worth the effort to read through the whole thing. In the mean time, I'll be back!
