It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia: Part I

Of the two times I was in Philly, it was sunny on all three days. The most recent trip was there and back on Sunday for the College Cup Championship in Division I NCAA men's soccer. My boys from Maryland lost 2-1 to Notre Dame. At the end of it all, I at least got to shake Saso Cirovski's hand. The Maryland coach was appreciative of my support of our Macedonian heritage as a held my flag for most of the celebration after the loss to remember the sun is always shining. As he walked by to greet others in the fan section following ND raising the trophy, I said "Napred Maryland, Makedoncite sa so tebe" (Onward Maryland, the Macedonians are with you) as he approached me at the front of the barricade in the stands. He said back "I love it, I really appreciate it." as he reached to shake my hand. It was upon that moment that sport has united the present and future of the sport industry. And with that, I had to leave to avidly go home.

My time in the city was great, but the travel was questionable. I will go in detail with that on Thursday. But in the city, I took the subway to the stadiums straight from Amtrak and even managed to do a little shopping at Citizens Bank Park where not only was I able to find tchotchkes for gifts, but I found what you should find in every team store, you'll see those on Thursday as well.

I've bombarded you with enough for now, while there are more pictures from the aforementioned soccer game, those will be featured tomorrow in addition to one concept from Caden and another from Alan. That should do for now.

A Royal Headache

While everyone was enjoying reading yesterday's post here, I was trying to be as patient as I could while spending the day in Philadelphia. You will see things from that trip at least tomorrow and Thursday.

Well it's clear that a lot is happening here. As much as I like these I don't partly for the previous comment and partly for the orientation of the color scheme, despite the balance of color. I'd like to swap the black and green for each other everywhere (on the white jersey). and do the same with the black and gold on the green jersey. Otherwise, this one is pretty solid, looking like the modern way this team would look if they were still in the "State of Hockey."

I though I'd share the above questions from a previous microeconomics exam I had in prep for its final tomorrow. Hope this entertains you enough to get the right answer.

Did You Say "Whip-Eye"?

I know the two syllable pronunciation of WPI's initials as indicated in the title, however, I generally call them 'whippy' because it sounds similar to wimpy It's my modest way of making fun of them without getting tossed from athletic events. That being said, that's exactly how their club hockey team played Friday night against a somewhat desperate Springfield College club hockey team coming off that loss to Westfield State on Sunday. Speaking of how the game went, I was in-front of the PA again and I was directed after a 10-0 2nd period scoreline to stop announcing the goals. The final wound up 15-2 for Springfield. The most interesting things happened  - the goalie was never pulled, the coach never used his timeout, and a you woman played 6 or so minutes of ice time on three shifts.

The young lady I managed to get a photo of just before the framed uniforms. You can see the hockey team's (only) logo to the left of that one. their athletics actually use completely different logos. Back to the norm tomorrow and Caden's next concept will show up Tuesday to balance out the amount of concepts that Alan sent in.
