2015 AFL Pre-Season Power Rankings

While the NAB Cup has had several format changes and several rules that make it quite different from normal, footy, it will not be heavily taken into account.

1.   Sydney - You'd think another preliminary final is minimum for the Swans, but Hawthorn will have something to say about that.
2.   Hawthorn - Even though they're back-to-back defenders, Clarkson may be under fire if they done have a significant finals run.
3.   North Melbourne - Inconsistency will again be the question, but will at least get to play finals footy in September.
4.   Port Adelaide - May struggle to make it to finals. Had good push in them but not leading up to them.
5.   Richmond - Good fortune despite finals loss seems highly likely, similar to North Melbourne in terms of resilience in improvement.
6.   Geelong - Chris Scott has had trouble beating his brother's North Melbourne side lately. They go at it twice and will impact placement.
7.   Fremantle - Not the surprise side of two years ago, but still holding their own.
8.   Essendon - Hird, Dons appear ready to put ASADA behind them - inside the eight could happen again.
9.   West Coast -Not flying high enough to get into the finals.
10. Collingwood - Buckley needs to perform or he'll be out of the coach's box.
11. Adelaide - Another year outside the eight or at least behind Port.
12. Greater Western Sydney - Showed improvement as well as Gold Coast did, but they will start pulling away from the suns in that department.
13. Brisbane -  You fell like they are improving, but are pulling an NHL's Edmonton Oilers perpetual downward spiral.
14. Western Bulldogs - They're really no better but are starting to make their way back up the ladder.
15. Carlton - I kind of feel bad for mick Malthouse, he can't do anything to help his team and unfortunately that will foreshadow his sack-able departure.
16. Melbourne - I really would like to see them do well, I think they can crack the middle third.
17. Gold Coast - Malceski is a good signing, but will it be enough? For now, no.
18. St. Kilda - Another year of picking them to get the wooden spoon is tough after losing the Grand Final replay in 2010.

Kick After the Siren: If this were how I put my predictions, then we have the below:
1. Geelong
4. Hawthorn      Geelong        Hawthorn
5. Richmond      Richmond       North Melb.
8. Essendon                                     Hawthorn
6. North Melb.                                  Sydney
7. Port Adel.    North Melb.     Sydney
2. Sydney        Fremantle       Richmond
3. Fremantle

Another season of footy is upon us, so lets see how this one unfolds.
