*Home team second.

Well, I didn't get to 50 wins, or 55 - which is the new single season high in goals set by Ryan Benesch in Bandits history. Even Tavares had 51 that stood for fourteen seasons in a sixteen game season. But I have the playoffs for that. I'm on a roll though as I started slow and finished with a bang.

2015 AFL Pick 'Em: Round 6

We are now going to move these predictions to Tuesdays starting May the 12th. This is to accommodate what was mentioned yesterday in having a new staff member. I would do it for Thursdays except that there will be some Wednesday night/Thursday morning games in the US Eastern Time zone.

Here is how the recap process works. Arrows will indicate the winning team and incorrect guesses will be marked with an "X". Jerseys guessed incorrectly will be left as is, winning jumpers will be placed alongside the losing jumper in parentheses.

The End of Your Wednesday as We Know It

But I feel fine. That's because one of yesterdays foreshadowed changes is that we would like to take a step in another direction that involves more writers on staff. A week from today, I will have a gentleman by the name of Brad Baumann etch his mark in BNG lore. I will leave his bio to himself in fairness. I approached him as a means of slowly integrating change in how many writers will be in the arsenal. He will assume duties on Wednesdays.

This move was made in effort to return to having fresh content as one man can only do so much if he plans to have posts up every day 24 hours a day/7 days a week/365 days a year. That being said, Brad is relatively new to the idea of design blogs but has been a frequent visitor of Chris Creamer's site, which as you may or may not know I am a huge fan of myself. I hope that you are able to easily welcome him with open arms as we take this new chapter in the BNG history books.

"Sinks and Mazes To You Too"

Ah Fred Sanford, the one man on TV who was not afraid to make fun of his Puerto Rican neighbor Julio Fuentes and his family on Sanford and Son. However, while we don't encourage discrimination, we do encourage the spirit of Cinco de Mayo as well as what coincidentally became the day of our anniversary here at BNG. Three years ago, I had no idea that I would continue to be doing this to some degree. I am very pleased that we are still here for your amusement. Though not in the same glory as we used to be, we plan to get back to that standard very soon. I did not anticipate the reception I would get, with a little help as a writer for friends of the blog HJC and HCI. In commemoration of our three years in Cyberspace and beyond, we have our "Triple Threat" anniversary logo and are pleased to announce that we will be under the motto "The final frontier in sports design."

We also would like to take the time to acknowledge something that you may have noticed on our Twitter feed. Lauren Jensen, one of my colleagues at Medaille College, was diagnosed with thyroid cancer almost a month ago. Thyroid issues are somewhat common in the Western New York area. We would like to continue helping raise awareness by providing you the opportunity to spread the word. Below is a transparent and reversed image of the shirtfronts of Medaille's #JensenStrong t-shirts. We encourage you to join us by printing out the image onto transfer paper and iron it on a shirt.

This young woman has been stellar in the classroom and in the sports world. She has a tenacious work ethic between education, basketball, soccer, and everything else that she does. There is no doubt she can and will win the fight, but the increased support is always appreciated. The intestinal fortitude it takes to take on such a challenge is unmatched to our regular daily activities and deserves accolades that are beyond our very comprehension. Together, we can accomplish great things - we are #JensenStrong! Thank you for supporting BNG and our sincere causes.

Duly noted, with the amount of changes in recent months resulting from the new year and our third anniversary, more will be coming. I cannot disclose further information as it is currently in development. Outside of everything else we have mentioned, take the time (if you have any contact with them) to call an old teacher of yours and thank them for being an influence in your life in commemoration of Teacher Appreciation Day. Okay, so today's post was really just a big series of service announcements. But well worth the effort to read through the whole thing. In the mean time, I'll be back!

2015 NLL Power Rankings: Week 18/Pre-Playoffs

1. (1) Edmonton – Regular season champs.
2. (3) Toronto – Scary finish to their division title.
3. (2) Rochester – Could've at least tied Toronto, but they lost and TO won.
4. (5) Buffalo – Surely, the Thieves will exercise their demons in Rochester - I want to get my playoff season tickets!
5. (4) Colorado – Chasing Edmonton may have tired them out.
6. (6) Calgary – Dogged out a win and a trip to the Ice Cave.
7. (8) Minnesota – Pride on fan appreciation night.
8. (7) Vancouver – Had so much potential on offense - it really was a tale of two halves of the floor.
9. (9) New England – This was the insult part of last weeks injury.

"Today is A New Day!"

It's a big day in sports. It's the last Saturday of the NLL season, the NFL Draft continues, the NHL and NBA playoffs continue, and the 141st Kentucky Derby is followed by Pacquiao-Mayweather fight. It's quite possibly this biggest day in he history of sports or at least the most eventful. In that case, I will leave you to it!
