Trained Labradors

From the age of six, I had created a league of soccer teams based on the (then brand new) Lego soccer series - which turned into a thing of its own after I sort of grew out of Legos. The team, my team, the Newfoundland Labradors (formerly the Newfoundland and Labrador All-Stars whose nickname comes from the Backyard Sports computer game series), have been "trained" if you will to transition from just soccer to now play Australian rules football. This is a maneuver to become a last minute replacement in a uniform design league to be based in the US and Canada. Buffalo was listed, but someone (from Australia) had used them as a base out of Niagara Falls. St. John's was my second selection for a bid. Both countries have actual leagues - the USAFL and the local league in the Toronto greater metropolitan area. But the Labs were also an easy to assemble look because I had several drawings. Below is the finished product of the footy version.

Let's start with the leak that I plan on planting to the forum for the league, "just for recreations sake" if you will.

You may have recognized this. It is the same one from the Skopje foxes fake leak reveal from a couple years ago. I saved the image in case such a scenario came up again. The opportunity had presented itself. Notice that the home uniform is heavily inspired by the old NFL flags you might see at the stadia around the league (of which, I happen to own a Buffalo Bills one). The alternate is the most bizarre you will ever see. I thought about adding a Zubaz pattern to the side panels but it would be too over the top and it is not as elegant to go with the plaid and argyle. As for the actual results, those will come next week.
